“My favorite high school memories will always be Mr. Peskey’s orchestra classes. I will never forget the morning coffee, violin music and occasional viral yodeling videos. His wit, talent and enthusiasm for equipping his students with the skills necessary to succeed are immeasurable. His experience, both as a professional musician and teacher, has inspired me to pursue a career in music. Thank you, Mr. Peskey, for believing in me and for all the opportunities you gave me to explore my musical ambitions. You taught me that anything can be accomplished with enough determination and practice.”
“Mr. John Peskey arrived at helena High as I arrived as a freshman. His incredible knowledge of music and style of teaching has brought me leaps closer to mastery of the violin, which lies miles away. He has not only taught me musical appreciation of all genres, but Mr. P balances the humor of a jester contrasted with his monk-like passion and dedication to music.”
